Through the collaboration of the State Board of Education, Department of Public Instruction, and Sandhills Regional Education Consortium, Region 4 representatives joined us for a K-16 collaborative effort in the area of Mathematics. This was an opportunity for educators across different sectors to develop a deeper understanding of how the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics impact each other’s daily work and how existing partnerships can be strengthened to improve instruction and student achievement. Our initial focus was b on instruction and student achievement 9-16 and the process of preparing effective secondary mathematics educators.
